Character Bio – Maya Zakowski
Maya was a paramedic for the fire service back in her native Poland. Like many others, when the Nanite plague hit, she was evacuated and left to make her own way out on the rim. She jumped at the offer of a place at Nessence Transit/SEC and is keen to prove her worth.
She and Jess Griffin were the first to be recruited to the Nessence/SEC medical team.
In addition to being a skilled and dedicated medic, Maya is also an excellent runner (college regional champion). Not that there is much use for this talent out on the rim.
